About Me

I am an illustrator and book designer based in southern New Jersey. A New England native, I grew up hiking the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and raising rabbits to show at the county 4-H fair. After majoring in Fine Arts at Ohio Wesleyan University, my move to New York City in 2002 awakened my love for publishing and bagels. I enjoyed five wonderful years as a designer at Welcome Books (now part of Rizzoli) and then Random House. In 2007 my husband and I moved to Philadelphia and I became a design manager at an organization called University City District. In 2016 I published my first coloring book at Little, Brown and Company and soon after turned my focus to developing my picture book portfolio. My illustrations are inspired by my love of nature and folktales and my Etsy shop features my Tudor England gift line and literary fan art.
